THE HOLE

In a hole in the woods, a young mother awakens, having fled a life she can no longer bear. Grappling with postpartum mental illness, visions of past lives, and the collapse of the world around her, she slowly becomes a vessel for Mother Earth, delivering a message to humanity about the consequences of overconsumption, environmental destruction, and societal neglect.
Part psychological odyssey, part poetic reflection, The Hole is a one-woman show that confronts audiences with urgent questions: What legacy are we leaving for future generations? How do we care for the vulnerable in a world saturated by media and consumerism?
Unflinching, innovative, and socially conscious, this immersive performance transforms grief, trauma, and revelation into a call to action—a mirror for our times and a meditation on responsibility, connection, and the fragile beauty of life.

Poppy Winter
WRITER/ACTOR
Poppy Winter is an actor, writer and a BA LAMDA grad. Since graduating LAMDA she has been involved in a range of projects. She appeared as Becky in Roy Williams’ SUCKER PUNCH as part of the Theatre Nations partnership with the National Theatre and Queens Theatre Hornchurch. She has appeared as a guest role ITV’s VERA. She also played the role of Katie in BORIS THE THIRD (The Pleasance) at the Edinburgh fringe. She has been involved in various play readings at theatres championing new writing such as SIAN DE BERGERAC for Next Page Season at Omnibus, as well as CIGS AND ALCOHOL a new play being developed at The Criterion New Writing.
The Hole is Poppy's debut play as a writer.

Holly Reddaway
DIRECTOR
Holly Reddaway is an award-winning director who trained at LAMDA (MA Directing) and on the Almeida’s Directing course.Theatre credits as director include: Lexi (Bohemians Theatre Company, Camden Fringe), Jess and Joe Forever (Carne Theatre) and WOOLF (Edinburgh Fringe). As Associate Director: A Christmas Carol, Rose Theatre Kingston. Theatre credits as Assistant Director include: Lost Origin (Almeida), The Snow Queen (Yvonne Arnaud) and The Cherry Orchard (Theatre Royal Bath).
Teaching includes RADA, LAMDA and the National Youth Theatre where she is an associate artist.
Holly also works across audio-drama, games and animation. She won Best Director at the SOVAS Awards for Halfway. An Audible Original audio drama series, exec produced by Idris and Sabrina Elba.
Recognised as a BAFTA Breakthrough for her work Voice and Performance directing in games she has directed a number of award winning performances (The Game Awards, BAFTA Game Awards and New York Game Awards). Her credits include: Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Jade, Zombieland VR and Lies of P.
Her first animated feature film as Voice Director releases in 2026.

Imogen Finlayson
PRODUCER
Imogen Finlayson is a London-based producer and actress with international training and experience. She studied at the Cours Florent in Paris and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.Imogen previously lived in NYC, where she co-founded the independent production company ‘Next Minute Productions’ with Siobhan Carroll. They collaborated with Ozaki studios to create The Reunion, which was nominated for Lovesick Film Festival’s best picture. The film won the Indie Shorts Award for best acting duo and received an honorable mention from Blackbird Film Festival.
After shooting The Reunion Next Minute collaborated with a public high school in Cleveland, Ohio to film three pilot episodes of a web series Survival: A Day Job Series. This created the opportunity for high school students to have an education experience on set both in front of and behind the camera.
At the end of 2023 Next Minute mounted their first full theatrical production, the original play Friends & Lovers & Others, at The Tank in NYC. They just closed their second play, Lucy Light, which had its US premier at The New Stage Performance Space. Since moving to London she staged a rehearsed reading of the new play Faster Horses and is starting to also work independently under Next Minute Productions.

Caroline Leslie
DRAMATURG
Caroline Leslie is a director and dramaturg of new writing. She works closely with writers throughout the development, drafting and rehearsal process, and many of Caroline’s productions of new work have transferred either to the West End (Wipers Times and Bleak Expectations) or gone on to have National Tours (Trial by Laughter, Radio Times).She also runs the MA Directing Programme at LAMDA, which has a strong focus on working with living writers and dramaturgy.
In her early career, Caroline ran the literary work at Salisbury Playhouse during her time as an Associate there. This culminated in a festival of new work which she directed, and studio and main house productions of two new plays by Mike Acres.
Caroline co-curated and ran a symposium on new writing and the ecology of developing new work with Sarah Dickenson at LAMDA in 2018, which was chaired by Timberlake Wertenbaker.
She has recently worked as dramaturg on several new pieces, including early-stage dramaturgy on A Place for Me by Anne Odeke and The Invincibles by Amanda Whittington.
